This week, we learned that a group of Google employees “occupied” several offices in protest. The far-left workers were demonstrating over Google’s relationship with Israel. Like many other progressives, these Google employees have accused Israel of “genocide.”
They demanded Google end its partnership with the nation. After refusing to leave these offices, the company put them on “administrative leave” and had them arrested.
Google likely fears more protests and “activism” which could greatly hurt its public image. They have to act fast to ensure the rest of their large company doesn’t do anything to impede its work. So, in a stern message from the top brass, Google revealed what it did to these woke workers.
From The Post Millennial:
On Wednesday, Google terminated 28 employees for taking part in a 10-hour sit-in at the tech giant’s offices in New York and Sunnyvale, California, to protest the company doing business with Israel. As part of the “No Tech for Genocide Day of Action,” anti-Israel “Googlers” wrapped themselves in keffiyehs and took over the Sunnydale, CA office of Google Cloud CEO Thomas Kurian, and in New York, activist employees occupied the 10th floor of the left-leaning tech giant’s offices in the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan.
UPDATE: Google fired 28 of the protesting employees, according to a company wide memo by Google VP of global security Chris Rackow.

Google fired 28 employees involved in protests that took place in California and New York. In a strongly worded message to the company, executives revealed these employees immediately lost access to company servers and were soon terminated.
The company stated, “We are a place of business and every Googler is expected to… do the right thing. If you’re one of the few who are tempted to think we’re going to overlook conduct that violates our policies, think again.”
The message was void of the typical woke corporate lingo we frequently see from Silicon Valley companies. Instead, these executives were laying down the law against workers who thought they had the privilege of disrupting business and endangering co-workers.
Google explained the protests violated numerous company policies outlined in their Code of Conduct, Policy on Harassment, Discrimination, Retaliation, Standards of Conduct, and Workplace Concerns.
While the company is known for its “inclusive,” progressive values, these protests appear to be the limit. Google is not willing to tolerate activism that verges on the violent. Perhaps more liberal-leaning companies will come to their senses and follow suit.
Key Takeaways:
- Google fired 28 employees who protested in its office over Israel.
- The far-left workers accused Google of aiding “genocide” by working with the Jewish nation.
- The company stated the workers violated numerous policies by endangering other employees.
