To’Nea Nicole Miller in Miami: apparent suicide, no evidence of foul play. That’s six cases spanning four states, examined by separate jurisdictions with no coordination between them. All the same result.

Only one case – Tasia Fortune in Jackson, Mississippi – is being investigated as a potential homicide. And here’s the detail AOC conveniently omitted: the person of interest identified by police is a Black man named Terence Anderson. Not exactly the portrait of white supremacist terror she was selling.

Even anonymous users on X managed something two members of Congress could not – basic fact-checking. Community Notes flagged both lawmakers’ posts with a blunt correction: “Most high-profile cases of Black people found hanging in 2025-26 were ruled suicides by medical examiners and police, with no evidence of foul play.”
