People are fed up with pandering politicians who won’t listen to the people they represent. Leftist projects that cost taxpayers money and don’t accomplish anything but lining the pockets of political allies are drawing the anger of voters.
Democratic New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez felt the full brunt of public criticism last week while she was spreading her leftist narrative to a group of constituents. She was met with two hecklers who called her on the carpet in front of everyone.
What she didn’t know was that these were more than hecklers because one of them is after her seat in Congress. AOC had to publicly endure being challenged to a political brawl that left her speechless.

One of the hecklers claimed he was challenging Ocasio-Cortez for her seat in Washington, D.C.“My name is Jonathan David Rinaldi and I’m running for Congress against AOC. The Green New Deal is a scam,” Rinaldi shouted, adding, “They’re giving the NYCHA apartments away, they’re giving illegal aliens $10,000 a day … I want you to debate me, AOC, debate me!”
Cortez was advocating for Green New Deal environmental justice provisions and climate change policies during her meeting. She got more than she bargained for from Rinaldi and another heckler at the meeting.
Rinaldi claimed that lawmakers are manipulating the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA), the agency which manages the city’s public housing projects, by using taxpayer money to move illegal immigrants into those developments, FOX News reported.
Another heckler jumped up and waived his finger at AOC and demanded that she, “Secure the border now … You don’t care, all you care about is illegal aliens and their votes. You don’t care about your constituents … You’re a disgrace.”
The man went on to lambast her for not saying anything about a Jan. 27 violent attack against New York Police officers allegedly carried out by migrants.
The hecklers were met with chants of “AOC! AOC!” as they began making noise to drown out the hecklers. The hecklers were removed from the town hall, and AOC said such “anti-immigrant” voices in the country are loud by “very few.
She defended her actions to her supporters with one woman yelling, “Thank you!”
This was a public display of how AOC supports loud opposition to conservative positions but then condemns those who disagree with her. Her actions of removing the hecklers and not addressing their concerns shows she is only pandering to the leftists.
