Joe Biden Goes On A Washington Firing Spree – In His First Day, Joe Just Canned 3 Trump Appointees And Labor Attorney

What’s Happening:

Joe Biden the “president of unity,” didn’t take long to alienate plenty of Americans. He didn’t waste a moment to do as much damage as possible on his first day.

Of course, he claimed it was to “undo” Trump’s so-called damage. But the Democrat took a wide range of actions to appease the leftist forces that control his agenda.

He fired plenty of people, starting with three Trump appointees. From Slate:

First, Biden terminated Michael Pack, who was confirmed to head the U.S. Agency for Global Media in June…

Second, Biden sacked Kathleen Kraninger, who was confirmed as director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau in 2018…

Third, Biden demanded the resignation of Peter Robb, who was confirmed as the National Labor Relations Board’s general counsel in 2017.

Not only that, Biden broke tradition by firing a labor attorney appointee. From Fox News:

President Biden in a break with precedent fired the general counsel of the National Labor Relations Board, a Senate-confirmed position, on his first day in the White House.

Peter Robb, who was appointed to the position by former President Trump and confirmed to the four-year position, was notified by the Biden administration Wednesday afternoon that he needed to resign or he would be fired, Bloomberg Law first reported.

These staffers were confirmed by the Senate to serve in their roles. But instead taking the time to evaluate their impact or accomplishments, Biden just immediately fired them.

But he most galling was his sacking of Peter Robb, a Senate-confirmed general counsel of the National Labor Relations Board. Biden warned him that if he didn’t resign, he’d fire him.

Robb declined, saying he had “less than 10 months” before his term ended anyway. I guess Biden didn’t even want to wait for that.

But hardliner unions demanded Biden sack Robb. Of course, Biden did the wishes of the Left, rather than keep hard-working staffers.

It’s normal for a new administration to bring in new staff. Firing Robb, though, was unprecedented. And normally, staff carry out their role until replacements can be found.

Instead, Biden is taking a hatchet to the White House, in an apparent vendetta against the last administration.

It remains to be seen if he can find suitable replacements.

Key Takeaways:

  • On Biden’s first day in office, he fired Senate-appointed White House staff.
  • Biden also broke from tradition to fire a general counsel of the National Labor Relations Beard.
  • Biden appears to be making his decisions based on the pressure of leftists and unions.
