When Joe Biden tapped Kamala Harris to be his Vice President, most Republicans and even some Democrats were skeptical. After all, Harris hadn’t fared well in her own presidential bid.
And now that Harris is in the White House, she continues to have her fair share of critics. Perhaps the most vocal critics point to her apparent refusal to address the southern border issue.
Now, one attorney general is fed up — he wants Kamala gone.
Harris hasn’t delivered a public address about the border in over 50 days, though the Biden administration routinely tells the press that she’s consistently working on the problem.
Except fewer people are buying that explanation, especially because we’ve heard almost nothing from Harris herself.
And Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich says it’s time for her to go.
In his words, she’s proven to be “abysmal” in this particular job, and it’s time to get someone who will actually do something.
Via Washington Examiner:
Vice President Kamala Harris’s lack of action on the border has prompted a call for President Joe Biden to dump her as his border czar.
‘Her response to the border crisis has been absolutely abysmal, so I am requesting that she be replaced as your ‘border czar,’ Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich wrote in a letter to Biden.
As undocumented foreigners flood his state, Brnovich joins other southern state leaders in his frustration and anger. They’re all tired of their states being overrun.
Brnovich added that he has tried to contact VP Harris, who hasn’t yet visited the border. But in his letter to Biden, he says he never a received a response from her or anyone in the President’s administration.
This might be what has caused Harris’ approval rating to tumble.
According to a recent YouGov survey, 48 percent have an unfavorable view of the Vice President, while only 41 percent vote “favorable”:
Do Americans have a favorable or an unfavorable opinion of Vice President Kamala Harris?

Thus far, Harris has only hosted a video call with the President of Mexico and besides that, American citizens have seen and heard very little.
Brnovich is obviously frustrated and annoyed at this lack of inaction and apparent disinterest on the part of the Vice President. As he said in the letter:
We cannot afford to wait another day, week, or month of apathy and inaction by any official in your administration.
I conclude by respectfully requesting that Vice President Harris be replaced as America’s ‘border czar.’
Again, Brnovich isn’t the only southern state official to either request more help from the Biden administration, or flat-out accuse the White House of doing nothing to stem the migrant tide.
For months, Biden and most Democrats refused to even call it a “crisis.”
They’ve backtracked on that in past weeks, though, as the disturbing statistics from the border keep rolling in, and border authorities beg for assistance.
At this point, it seems obvious: Harris and the entire Biden team must acknowledge the severity of the issue, and show America they have a real plan for dealing with it.
- Arizona AG Mark Brnovich sent a letter to President Joe Biden, demanding he remove VP Harris as “border czar.”
- Brnovich calls Harris’ performance so far “abysmal.”
- Harris’ approval rating has dipped recently, as Brnovich and other southern state officials continue to beg the White House for help.
