Public perception is a powerful tool for politicians who want to tell voters they can get the job done. Joe Biden has bumbled and mumbled his way through the first half of his presidency. His stumbles on stages and stairs along with his speaking gaffes have delivered a perception about his capabilities that is not favorable.
The guy is a clueless clown, and the public sees right through mindless political hacks trying to convince everyone that the president is in tip-top shape. Now Biden and his team of lackeys running his reelection campaign must deal with a report that shows what the public really thinks of him. Biden has a real problem with voters, including those in the Democrat party.
From Fox News:
The Associated Press-NORC poll found that 77% of Americans say Biden is too old to carry out a second term. While an unsurprising 89% of Republicans expressed the sentiment, an impressive 69% of Democrats also say Biden is no longer up to the task, according to the poll.
Simply put, the people believe Biden can’t effectively complete the required duties to serve as president for another four years. Age has its limits when it comes to getting the job done in the White House. Folks from either side of the aisle are tired of cringing when Biden takes a stroll off-cue or starts spewing incoherent words from the podium.
The poll also showed a growing trend among American voters who support more rules to keep political leaders young. Respondents revealed that roughly two-thirds of Americans support imposing age limits on the presidency, Congress and the Supreme Court.
What should be even more concerning to Biden’s camp is that former President Donald Trump doesn’t have a perception problem with his age. Despite being just three years younger than Biden, fewer than half of Americans say he is too old to hold office. Trump still has it all together mentally and physically despite vile criticism from the leftist media. He definitely has another term in his tank and that should scare Democrats.
It should be fun, in a sad sort of way, to watch how Democrats respond as the 2024 presidential campaign race up and Biden must do more to be reelected. The reality is that people on both sides of the aisle don’t expect him to perform well in the race and who knows if he’ll even make it as the Democrat nominee.
