What’s Happening:
For days, Americans have watched as a wildfire devastated the Hawaiian island of Maui. Numerous lives have been lost as entire communities were evacuated before the flames. Even liberal outlets like CNN have been shocked at the apparent lack of federal response.
Joe Biden was seen sunning on the beach while Maui burned. He refused to even talk about the disaster, outraging millions of Americans. He eventually said he’d visit the state “soon.” But moments after he discussed plans to visit, residents of the blue state gave their reply.

60-year-old accountant Kristi Bowman told the outlet she only wants Biden to visit so that he can show the world how bad the devastation truly is. “We haven’t had federal support. We’ve had local support, not federal.”
Remember when Biden visited East Palestine, Ohio, site of the the train accident and chemical spill, after promising to come? Yeah, we don’t either, because he never did.
And it looks like residents of the liberal state don’t want Biden to show up. Americans were shocked when Biden offered only $700 to families who lost everything. He has no problem donating billions of our money to Ukraine. But when actual Americans are suffering, Joe’s MIA.
One resident called the island a “warzone.” He lamented that the historical community of Lahaina has been destroyed. The “old whaling village” will be taken over by corporations who will build resorts instead.
Another resident said that she hasn’t seen any federal support. The only support, it seems, has come from local government and groups.
This is pretty bad for Biden. He is one year out from his re-election. Yet he is neglecting a blue state right in the middle of a disaster. And this comes as numerous other blue states are overrun with migrants. Biden has refused to lift a finger to help the very states that got him elected.
How do you think that will work out for him come 2024?
Biden’s FEMA isn’t even processing requests from Hawaiians devastated by the disaster. The agency is delaying giving out support, using bureaucracy to bury suffering Americans in paperwork and technicalities.
It is totally shameful.
