It’s not just Americans shocked at how Big Tech companies are trying to silence conservatives. Even world leaders from Germany and France have condemned what Twitter and others have done.
Perhaps the world is finally waking up to the fact that Silicon Valley wields too much power. And that our leaders need to prevent them from jeopardizing free speech.
But now, it looks like another social network is following their lead to clamp down on President Trump. From The Daily Wire:
YouTube announced… that it was temporarily suspending President Donald Trump’s account for allegedly violating the platform’s policies…
“Given the ongoing concerns about violence, we will also be indefinitely disabling comments on President Trump’s channel, as we’ve done to other channels where there are safety concerns found in the comments section.”
YouTube, like other social networks, has temporarily shut down Trump’s account, with a very flimsy excuse.
But let’s be honest. These left-leaning sites have been trying to shut down Trump for years. Their current excuse doesn’t hold water when they’ve been working to silence conservatives since 2016.
In recent days, liberal-owned networks have “cleaned house.” They have shut down not only Trump’s accounts but accounts from notable conservatives and supporters.
Can they really prove that all of these users were causing trouble—or do they just want them gone?
This move to censor Trump supporters and Republicans raises the obvious question. Do YouTube and other sites really think this is going to work?
How long can they ban or block users before a mass exodus occurs? If everyone else is upset that these sites are censoring free speech—it won’t be long before they leave.
If these tech giants think they are the only game in town, they need to think again.
Perhaps if they keep pushing the ban button, they’ll go the way of MySpace and so many others.
Maybe that’s already starting to happen.
Are you boycotting any of these big tech companies for what they have done to Trump and conservatives?
- YouTube temporarily locked Trump’s account, citing unproven violations.
- This comes as leaders in Germany and France condemned social media censorship.
- Social networks have been purging their sites of popular conservative users.
