What’s Happening:

We learned recently that Paul Pelosi flashed a police charity card when he was arrested over a DUI last Many.

Some speculated he was trying to coerce the police to go easy on him since he gave to a charity that helps children of officers.

But it doesn’t seem the group was impressed. And Pelosi might lose his membership.

A California law enforcement association said Thursday that it would review Paul Pelosi’s membership following reports he flashed his member card to officers during his DUI arrest in May.

The California Highway Patrol 11-99 (CHP 11-99) Foundation confirmed that any member who brings its name or property into law enforcement contact is in violation of the group’s terms and conditions agreement.

How interesting. Apparently, the charity to which Paul Pelosi donated had a rule that forbade members from flashing their cards at law enforcement.

One of the reasons was obvious, so that members couldn’t use it to win “preferential treatment” while dealing with cops.

So, because Pelosi apparently handed his card to police during his arrest, the group is considering revoking his membership.

The group stated it will wait for the outcome of the trial to make its decision. Which possibly means they don’t want to kick Pelosi out if he was cleared of charges.

If they did, Pelosi could come after them for attacking an “innocent” man.

Pelosi is no doubt a big donor to this group and they are probably reluctant to lose his support.

But if enough pressure rises against what he did, the group might not have any choice.

They can’t be seen as allowing someone, even the husband of a congresswoman, to earn special treatment just because they gave money.

Many already believe that Pelosi enjoys special treatment because of his wife. He is often buying and selling stock, because of bills being passed in Congress.

Perhaps, just once, he will face the consequences of his actions?
