Charlamagne Slams Liberal Media Host Accusing Him of “Lying for Biden”

Why do Washington insiders often wait until they’ve left office—and have a book to sell—to share their ‘truths’? Karine Jean-Pierre’s latest moves have many asking just that.

Isn’t it something how people in Washington often find their true voice? It usually happens after they have packed their bags and left the big office. Suddenly, they see things so clearly.

And what often comes with this newfound clarity? You guessed it. A brand-new book promising to tell all. It’s a story many of us have seen play out time and time again.

The latest to join this club is Karine Jean-Pierre. She was once the main voice for the Biden White House. Now, she says she’s an “independent.” She also has a book coming out about what she calls a “broken White House.”

But not everyone is buying it. Radio host Charlamagne Tha God had some strong words. He’s often seen as a voice on the left. But he didn’t hold back on Jean-Pierre.

He said he might read her book. But he also stated a hard truth.

From ‘Fox News’:

“When it comes to her in particular, I’m probably going to read the book, but nobody wants to hear from anyone who got up there and lied for the Biden administration,” he said.

Inside an Unhappy House

It seems Charlamagne is not the only one with doubts. New reports show many in the old Biden White House were not happy with Jean-Pierre. Alex Thompson, an author who wrote about the Biden years, shared some insider views.

Thompson said many felt Jean-Pierre was “not good at” her job. They thought she cared more about “elevating her own profile” than doing good work. One former Biden staffer even called her sudden party switch “quite the ballet move.” It sounds like a fancy way of saying it’s a tricky, perhaps dishonest, step.

This anger from her old team “exploded instantly” when she announced her book and party change. It appears many who worked with her felt let down. They felt she was given a big chance. Now, they see her as trying to sell books by criticizing the very party that lifted her up.

Even newsman Jake Tapper shared a story. He remembered a time when President Biden repeated himself at an event. Jean-Pierre’s defense for him then was, “Well, that’s how strongly he feels about that moment.” It was a weak excuse then. It looks even weaker now, given her new tune.

A Sudden Case of 20/20 Hindsight?

Charlamagne also pointed out how strange the timing is. He said people like Jean-Pierre are having a “come to Jesus moment way too late.” He thinks “they should have been talking like this two or three years ago.” Good point.

Jean-Pierre even said in her book announcement something quite telling. She said, “We need to be clear-eyed and questioning rather than blindly loyal and obedient as we may have been in the past.”

Many will read that and scratch their heads. Wasn’t being “blindly loyal and obedient” her exact job description for years? It’s a bit rich to say that now, after the fact.

Why So Quiet Then?

It makes you wonder why more of these “truths” didn’t come out sooner. Alex Thompson suggested the “Biden culture was to punish and try to destroy people who spoke out.” That might explain some of the silence from former staffers.

Jake Tapper also noted that Jean-Pierre was a “trailblazer.” She was the first Black woman and openly LGBTQ person in her role. Perhaps some were hesitant to criticize her for that reason. But a job is a job, and the truth matters no matter who is doing it.

So, Karine Jean-Pierre has found her voice, just as her book hits the shelves. It’s a familiar story in Washington. But for many Americans, these late-stage confessions ring hollow.

Real principles don’t wait for a book deal. True colors are shown by actions taken when it counts, not by words written when it’s convenient. People of common sense know that integrity isn’t something you find after you leave a job. It’s something you show every single day.

Key Takeaways

  • Karine Jean-Pierre’s sudden criticism of a “broken” Biden White House coincides suspiciously with her new book.
  • Even liberal voices like Charlamagne Tha God are calling out Jean-Pierre for past dishonesty and opportunism.
  • Insider reports reveal Jean-Pierre faced criticism for her performance and self-promotion while in her role.
