China has been reporting on the virus since January. But even back then, people have suspected their numbers were not quite right.
Some in our media have criticized America, when our numbers exceeded China (which has a population that dwarfs our own).
Well, now that Wuhan has been reopened, suddenly they are changing their figures. And they’ve gone way up.
From Fox News:
China raised Wuhan’s coronavirus death toll by nearly 50 percent Friday following weeks of allegations that officials were underreporting the numbers to make the situation there look better than it actually was.
The city where the coronavirus outbreak is believed to have originated is now reporting 3,869 deaths after adding 1,290 to its previously-announced figure. Numbers of total cases in the city of 11 million were also raised by 325 to 50,333, accounting for about two-thirds of China’s total 82,367 announced cases.
According to reports, China has increased the number of Wuhan deaths from COVID-19 by roughly 50%.
At one point, they said only 2,579 people had died from the disease. Today, that number stands at 3,869. Additionally, the number of infected cases has risen to 50,333.
The country claims this was a result of a backlog. They said hospitals were overwhelmed during the peak of the outbreak, only getting through cases until now.
It took them four months to process an additional 1,290 cases? Is that right?
Back in the U.S.A., we are getting a moment-by-moment update on cases. Every day, we are learning just how the disease has spread and how many have been infected.
Why was there such a lag in Wuhan? This is definitely concerning.
Is there anything else the Chinese government is not sharing with the world? Because, know would be the time to spill the beans, you guys.
SHARE to make sure everyone knows how China is changing their numbers.
