David Axelrod Lowers the Boom on Biden – Claims 1 Thing Could Sink Joe in November

Some argue that Joe Biden has committed all the seven deadly sins against the American people. His actions and words repeatedly appear to be directed at undermining all good things associated with the American way.

The foundation of this country was cemented on the ideal of each person trying to do better for others, even as they take advantage of the opportunities available to them. Biden, on the other hand, has used his positions of political power from senator to vice president to president to focus on what benefits him the most.

The one deadly sin that could sink Biden in the 2024 presidential election is the one that focuses the most on himself. Biden’s self-absorbed personality may well be his downfall as the nation speeds toward the November election.

From The Hill:
Senior Democratic strategist David Axelrod hit President Biden over his economic messaging Wednesday following a campaign event in Milwaukee, saying the president’s “pride” could be his undoing in November.

“I think he’s making a terrible mistake,” he continued. “If he doesn’t win this race, it may not be Donald Trump that beats him, it may be his own pride.”

In the Milwaukee campaign event Wednesday, Biden said his administration had “already turned” the economy around. That pride in previous accomplishments may not work with voters, Axelrod said, who have a more negative view of the economy.

Axelrod, who was an Obama campaign strategist, claimed the economy has improved under Biden, but Americans across the board don’t agree with that opinion.

“But that’s not the way people are experiencing the economy,” Axelrod said in a CNN appearance. “They are experiencing it through the lens of the cost of living.”

Prices for everyday staples that people must buy have increased due to historic inflation that hit the economy under Biden. In most voting polls, the economy ranks as one of the most important issues to voters on both sides of the aisle.

Biden kept pressing the issue that his administration “already turned” the economy around as he spoke along the campaign trail. He appeared to not understand how his claims of such an accomplishment might not work with voters. The negative opinion about the economy permeates all voting demographics.

Biden has struggled with his economic messaging while campaigning. His all-out promotion of  “Bidenomics” last year – and the fawning over the claims by the liberal media – fell flat.

Concerns among voters about inflation, gas prices, food costs, and high prices for rents and homes continue despite Biden’s claims he solved all these problems. Voters simply aren’t buying what Biden is claiming, and their considering Trump as an option across the board.

Only 38 percent of Americans have a “great deal” of confidence in Biden’s ability to lead on the economy, according to a Gallup poll last week. This is a near record low for the survey query. Reports show Trump never received less than 42 percent confidence on the issue when he was in office.

Now, 46 percent of Americans said they have a “great deal” of confidence in Trump. This contrast to Biden could impact the incumbent’s odds at reelection this November.

Like the old saying goes, pride comes before a fall. Biden’s pride may be his downfall in the presidential election this fall.

Key Takeaways:

  • An Obama-era advisor said Biden’s pride may cost the president his reelection bid.
  • Biden continued to claim that he had solved the economic issue as people struggle.
  • High costs of needed goods continued following the record inflation spike under Biden.
