The X (formerly Twitter) CEO Elon Musk is one of the few public figures who has had the guts to stand by Donald Trump. Indeed, he endorsed Trump after the first assassination attempt on the former president back in July.

Knowing that the stakes of this election could not be any higher, Musk has been hitting the road to campaign for Trump. On Saturday, he appeared at a Trump campaign event in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, which is considered to be a battleground state.

There, Musk made an announcement that nobody could have seen coming. He shocked attendees by revealing that he will be handing out $1 million to one person each day before Election Day!

Yes, you read that correctly!

“I have a surprise for you. We’re going to be awarding $1 million randomly to people who have signed the petition every day from now until the election,” Musk told an enthusiastic crowd.

Musk’s political action committee (PAC) targets the seven following battleground states: Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. It features a petition pledging support for the First Amendment and Second Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, which signers can receive $47 for each registered voter referred to sign, according to the America PAC’s official website.

The America PAC champions values including “secure borders, safe cities, free speech, sensible spending, a fair justice system and self-protection,” according to its website. Musk launched the America PAC with the purpose of electing Trump to a second term.

Musk then revealed the first lucky petition signer to become an instant millionaire. This person was John Dreher, who couldn’t have been more excited when he came onstage.

“Thanks Elon, this is great. I’m really ecstatic!” Dreher said as he held the enormous $1 million check.

“When he called me, the first thing that happened was, you know, I screamed and, it was $1 million and I was pumping my check in the air, pumping my arms in the air,” Dreher later added. “Actually meeting Elon, I kind of forgot about the money for a little bit.”

Afterward, Musk took to X to explain why he was doing this.

Protect Our First And Second Amendment Rights

This petition pledges to support free speech and gun rights. Musk believes that both of these fundamental American rights will be under attack if Harris takes office.

Musk spoke out to say that he wants to get “over a million, maybe two million, voters in the battleground states to sign the petition in support of the First and Second Amendment.”

“I think [it] sends a crucial message to our elected politicians,” he added.

Unsurprisingly, Democrats are already losing their minds over this. Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro, a Democrat who has endorsed Harris, has said that Musk’s giveaway plan is “deeply disturbing.” He also called on law enforcement to investigate it.

Democrats can kick and scream all that they want to, but it doesn’t seem like Musk is backing down. We applaud him for stepping up to protect the American values we all hold dear!
