FBI Raids Soros-Funded Voter Group with Fraud History

For years, conservatives have warned that left-wing organizations bankrolled by progressive megadonors have been gaming the voter registration system. Flooding election offices with dubious forms. Registering dead people. Then — and this is the real magic trick — shrieking about “voter suppression” the second anyone bothers to investigate. The warnings got ignored. The checks kept getting cashed. The suspicious registrations kept piling up.

Here’s the thing: election integrity isn’t some abstract policy debate. It’s the bedrock of self-governance. When well-funded activist groups treat voter registration like a quota-driven assembly line, every legitimate voter’s voice gets diluted. And it now appears federal law enforcement has finally decided that what’s been happening in Ohio warrants a very serious look.

From Fox News:

Federal investigators raided a Soros-funded voter mobilization group on Thursday as part of a reported ongoing fraud investigation.

FBI agents raided the headquarters of the Ohio Organizing Collaborative (OOC) on June 11 and deployed across the state to question members of the organization, sometimes bearing subpoenas or demanding to seize electronic devices, MS Now reported. A day later, multiple sources familiar with the events told CBS News that the operations were part of a fraud-related investigation.

A judge-authorized FBI raid on a major voter mobilization group is no small thing. So naturally, Democrats skipped right past the substance and went straight to the persecution narrative. OOC board member Prentiss Haney compared the operation to the 1965 civil rights battles in Selma, Alabama. Think about that for a moment. Comparing an FBI fraud probe to Selma is an insult to everyone who actually bled on that bridge. But it tells you everything about how the left handles accountability — deflect, dramatize, and hope nobody looks at the actual record.

And the actual record? It’s damning. Which is exactly why President Trump needs to treat this raid not as a one-off, but as the opening salvo in a full-scale war on voter fraud infrastructure.

Billions in dark money, one “organizing” group

Let’s talk about what the Ohio Organizing Collaborative actually is. This isn’t some scrappy grassroots outfit running a bake sale. OOC reported over $10 million in revenue in 2024 alone — and north of $35 million between 2020 and 2024. Not bad for a nonprofit, right?

The donor list reads like a directory of progressive power brokers. The Soros family’s Foundation to Promote Open Society funneled roughly $1.9 million to OOC between 2019 and 2020. Another $2 million landed at OOC’s sister organization through the Open Society Action Fund. Toss in the Tides Foundation, the Arabella Advisors-linked New Venture Fund, SEIU, and the American Federation of Teachers, and you’ve got a professionally funded political machine wearing a 501(c)(3) costume.

OOC has spent hundreds of thousands opposing Republican ballot measures and is currently pushing a so-called “Ohio Voters Bill of Rights” — a proposal that would mandate automatic registration, same-day registration, and gutted voter ID requirements. In other words, the group wants to make it even easier to do what it’s already been caught doing.

A track record they can’t explain away

In 2017, OOC canvasser Rebecca Hammonds pleaded guilty after facing 35 counts of election fraud, including registering deceased individuals. She told the court she “felt pressure to sign up as many registered voters as possible” or risk the organization losing funding. She got six months in county jail. So the fraud was baked into the business model. Charming.

It didn’t end with Hammonds. OOC board member Kirk Noden founded Black Fork Strategies, a canvassing firm investigated for submitting stacks of suspicious registrations — including one in the name of the late Henry Kissinger. Hamilton County Board of Elections member Alex Triantafilou was blunt: “This is fraud, outright fraudulent behavior.” Multiple Ohio counties flagged deceased-individual registrations tied to the same network.

Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose captured the moment perfectly when Democrats melted down over the raid. “Do they always react this way when there’s ‘nothing to find?'” he wrote on X. “Asking for a friend.”

A welcome crackdown — but nowhere near enough

The OOC raid isn’t happening in a vacuum. The Trump DOJ has been methodically building election integrity cases nationwide — seizing 2020 ballots in Fulton County, Georgia, requesting records from Wayne County, Michigan, and probing Milwaukee’s handling of that same election. Just recently, a California woman was charged for paying homeless people on Skid Row to register to vote.

As Assistant Attorney General Harmeet Dhillon put it: “False registrations undermine Americans’ faith in elections — even more so when payoffs are involved.”

All of this is encouraging. But encouraging isn’t enough. President Trump must deploy every legal tool at his disposal to dismantle the voter fraud infrastructure that progressive billions have constructed across this country. Every state harboring suspect third-party registration operations deserves the same federal scrutiny Ohio is getting today. Ohio’s upcoming photo ID constitutional amendment should serve as a blueprint for every state legislature in America.

The right to vote means nothing if it can be counterfeited. Time to make sure it can’t be.

Key Takeaways

  • The FBI raided a Soros-funded Ohio voter group under active fraud investigation.
  • The organization has a documented history of fraudulent voter registrations, including deceased individuals.
  • Progressive dark money networks pour tens of millions into voter registration operations with minimal oversight.
  • Trump must escalate federal efforts to dismantle election fraud infrastructure nationwide.
