The Biden administration failed to evacuate Americans and Afghan allies. The chaos surrounding the Kabul airport resulted in an attack that took the lives of thirteen U.S. service members. To make matters worse, Biden was criticized for his behavior on the day the families received their children’s bodies. And now, one of those soldiers’ fathers is confronting the president, before Congress.

“While I stood there on the tarmac watching you check your watch over and over again, all I wanted to do was shout out, ‘It’s 2 —-ing 30, —hole.’ But out of respect of the other grieving families, I bit my tongue once again. Well, as you can probably tell by now, I’m done biting my tongue. You, sir, stole their lives, their futures, their dreams and have ripped apart 13 families. You cannot even man up and admit that.”

Marine Lance Cpl. Jared Schmitz was one of the service members killed on August 26, 2021. His father, Mark Schmitz, spoke during a hearing with the House Foreign Affairs Committee this week. During his time, he heavily criticized Joe Biden.

Schmitz placed the blame for the death of his son and other service members on Joe’s shoulders. He called Biden a “disgrace to this nation” and questioned Biden’s qualifications as Commander in Chief. The Gold Star father also stated he “held his tongue” when he met Biden at the airfield in Dover.

But now, before Congress and the world, he did not hold back. Schmitz was particularly upset with Biden’s behavior on the day the military returned the bodies of these fallen soldiers. During the ceremony, Biden infamously looked at his watch several times as the coffins were carried from the airplane.

Biden did this before the families of these fallen service members, in a moment that was deeply criticized by pundits in the media.

Schmitz ended his statement by calling for Biden, Secretary Austin, and Secretary Blinken to resign. He criticized the administration’s claim that the Afghanistan evacuation was an “extraordinary success.”

The Gold Star father also questioned why nobody has yet been held accountable for the chaos and death surrounding the Afghanistan withdrawal. Perhaps many Americans are asking the same question.
