GOP Governor Drops Trump Bombshell – Here’s What She’ll Do if Trump Is Convicted

Former President Donald Trump has been forced to run a legal gauntlet on his way to the 2024 presidential election. He has been attacked by vicious Democrats in civilian and criminal courts in an effort to derail his campaign.

Democrats appear ready to stop at nothing to see Trump behind bars. The high-profile hush money case in New York is designed to destroy Trump’s reputation, put him in jail, and destroy his challenge to Biden’s failed presidency.

If Democrats succeed in jailing Trump, what they don’t realize is the level of support he has from the American people and his political allies. That support appears to grow with every legal attack against Trump, and his friends in high places have vowed never-ending support.

From the Washington Examiner:
Gov. Kristi Noem (R-SD) is not wavering in her support of former President Donald Trump, even if he is convicted in the hush money trial in Manhattan.

Noem, who has been floated as a potential vice-presidential candidate for Trump, said on CNN’s State of the Union that she would support the former president over President Joe Biden “every single day of the week,” dismissing the trial in New York City.

“If my choice is between Joe Biden and Donald Trump every single day of the week, yes, I will support Donald Trump. I have from the very beginning. He has been someone that I have supported since 2016,” Noem said.

The governor stood strong on the belief of tens of millions of Americans that Trump stands for the people and not the elitist political power brokers in Washington, D.C.

“I recognized that he didn’t think he was better than anybody else in this country. He wanted to go run for this office so he could serve the people here and fight for them every single day,” she added.

Democrats have poured support behind the Manhattan case against the former president and the anti-Trump prosecutor leading the case. Trump faces charges that he falsified business records related to hush money payments before the 2016 election. The jury in the case was speedily seated last week and the trial was launched to start this week.

Noem fielded questions on the liberal TV show and defended Trump at every turn. She was pelted with the typical leftist set-up question that asked if she would have certified the 2020 election on Jan. 6, 2021, as then-Vice President Mike Pence did. Noem shot back about Pence’s lack of support of Trump since that event.

Pence failed miserably in his bid to challenge Trump for the 2024 Republican nomination in the presidential election. Pence dropped out early in the race for lack of voter support and has since publicly criticized Trump on multiple occasions.

“I think that he’s failed Donald Trump since that day,” Noem said on CNN on Sunday. “Because he certainly does not recognize that we need someone in the White House who needs him out on the trail advocating for him, instead of constantly criticizing and going back and ripping him apart.”

Noem is one of several potential candidates for Trump’s running mate on the 2024 presidential ticket. Other names include Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH), Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY), Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC), and businessman and former GOP candidate Vivek Ramaswamy who have also been fierce defenders of the former president.

Key Takeaways:

  • South Dakota Republican Gov. Kristi Noem slammed a liberal TV host who attacked Trump.
  • Noem said her support of the former president is unwavering in the face of his criminal trial.
  • Noem is one of several potential vice-presidential candidates for Trump’s running mate.
