There they go again, putting outsiders ahead of American citizens.

A few weeks ago, President Donald Trump announced ICE was prepping a big project.

ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) was going to launch raids against “at least 2,000” foreign individuals, unlawfully in America.

These particular individuals “pose a threat to national security, public safety and border security.”

However, a couple of our elected officials want to throw a wrench into the works.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) have given the ICE targets legal advice.

Specifically, this advice includes ensuring ICE agents have the proper documentation when they raid a home.

Pelosi was quick to remind indviduals of their legal rights during a press conference (via The Daily Wire):

“If ICE agents don’t have a warrant signed by a judge, a person may refuse to open the door and let them in,” Pelosi says of the #ICEraids

“If ICE agents don’t have a warrant signed by a judge, a person may refuse to open the door and let them in.

An administrative order of removal from ICE or immigration authorities is simply not enough.”

Ocasio-Cortez then jumped in on Twitter, revealing the day of the raids (this Sunday), and echoing Pelosi’s advice:

“CE will launch raids across 10 major cities this SUNDAY. Check your neighbors & know your rights. Remember: no one can enter your home without a *judicial warrant.*

Sometimes ICE will try to show other papers to get in your house. Judicial warrants are from a court.”

AOC went on to tell the foreigners they need to “know their rights,” and provided a link to WeHaveRights.us, so people can better handle ICE encounters.

Now, to be clear, neither politician told people to run away and hide.

However, to many, their willingness to aid foreigners illegally residing in this country is troublesome to many.

Remember, these raids aren’t targeting just anyone who happened to avoid border authorities:

These raids are going after high-risk individuals, as the original announcement stated: those who “pose a threat to national security, public safety and border security.”

In other words, these are likely dangerous people. And I don’t think our elected officials should be giving them any advice whatsoever.
