The Middle East has learned the hard way:
Don’t push President Donald Trump.
Our leader pulls no punches, as Iran learned in the past week. Trump remains a hard-nosed patriot, and he’s not afraid of anything!
So, when Iraq’s parliament voted to expel U.S. troops from the country, our President’s response was fast and furious:
You’re going to pay for it.
Trump not only refused to pull his troops out of Iraq, but he issued an ultimatum alongside that refusal.
This is Donald at his powerful best!
Via Washington Examiner:
President Trump Sunday said the United States would not abandon its airbase in Iraq unless the country paid billions for the cost of building it.
‘We’re not leaving unless they pay us back for it,’ Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One as it flew from his home in Palm Springs, Florida, back to Washington.
Perfect!
Trump emphasized that we spent billions to get that airbase built. And of course, the Iraqis haven’t paid us back one cent.
And as a businessman, Trump isn’t about to let this slide.
The airbase in question wasn’t specified, by the way, but we assume they’re talking about the al-Asad Airbase in Anbar province.
That’s the one Trump said took a “fortune” to build. It was originally built by the Iraqis but America spent a ton to improve it in 2003.
On top of which, our Commander-in-Chief dropped another ultimatum:
Trump said the U.S. would inflict crippling sanctions on Iraq if it forced U.S. troops to depart.
He’s got you either way, Iraq!
Trump said “very big sanctions” are coming if Iraq doesn’t shape up! In fact, he says those sanctions will make the Iranian sanctions look “somewhat tame.”
This all proves one thing — Trump is a rock-solid leader. Strong, fearless, and resilient.
And I love it!
