Biden is doing poorly, with his approval being the lowest of his presidency. Most surveys clearly show which issues are most important to Americans.
That includes the economy and the major crisis at the border. But one liberal reporter couldn’t understand why Americans were so worried about illegal immigration. And what she said about Americans will shock many.

ABC National Correspondent Mireya Villarreal reacted to polling showing immigration as the number two most important issue among Iowa caucusgoers……and the issue “seems to really scare people into wanting to go to the polls. I’m not even sure why that is, I think it’s because they just don’t understand the topic.”

She then finished by saying Americans “just don’t understand the topic” in an apparent slap to conservatives, and other, voters.
Critics will use this statement to underscore the gap between liberal media pundits and most Americans. Many believe the media is out-of-touch with Americans in the first place. Others feel as if reporters look down on the average American.
This woman apparently thinks most voters can’t figure out how immigration works. Enough, it seems, to understand how Biden’s failures on the issue will hurt their communities, the jobs market, and national security.
This seems to be consistent with many Democrats. Liberals often express attitudes that Americans are uninformed and ignorant and that only college-educated leftists from big cities are qualified to make decisions. That kind of thinking has led to rampant crime, homelessness, and chaos in blue cities.
