After McConnell Sets Vote For Relief Bill – Pelosi Rushes To Respond With 48 Hour Deadline On Trump

What’s Happening:

An additional COVID relief bill has been stalled in Congress for months.

President Trump himself has called on lawmakers to pass something to help Americans.

But all too often, it appears Democrats are unwilling to come to the negotiating table.

Sen Majority Leader McConnel announced he would be taking actions with a “skinny” version of his bill.

It will amount to $500 billion.

Chuck Schumer called it a stunt, but it may have actually motivated Pelosi.

Because the Speaker is now demanding a fast deadline from the White House:

Nancy Pelosi gave the White House a 48-hour deadline to resolve the contentious COVID-19 relief negotiations, which have become increasingly rooted in partisanship…

‘Decisions must be made by the White House in order to demonstrate that the Administration is serious about reaching a bipartisan agreement that provides for Americans with the greatest needs during the pandemic,’ wrote Hammill.

After stalling for months, now Pelosi is “setting” a deadline for President Trump at 48 hours.

Nancy can’t even get her own party to do her bidding, yet she thinks she can tell the president what to do.

More than once, Pelosi has delayed much-needed relief over the pandemic. She prevented the Paycheck Protect Program from being refunded.

That gap led to many losing their jobs and businesses.

Since the Spring, Pelosi has tried to use the pandemic to push radical, far-left proposals. Those are proposals she knows Republicans—and many Americans—would never back.

So, it seems she wanted to use the panic from the virus to get her agenda done. Hardly democratic, if you ask me.

The White House and Republicans have repeatedly tried to cooperate with Democrats on COVID relief. Yet time and again, the left has refused to work with them.

Odd now that Pelosi wants such a quick turnaround from the president, huh?

Is she afraid of being upstaged by McConnell’s bill? Does she think she runs both the Senate and the White House?

Millions of Americans are still suffering, thanks to lockdowns. Yet only now does Pelosi suddenly seem to care.

Maybe Wolf Blitzer’s criticisms actually got to her?

Key Takeaways:

  • Pelosi is demanding a 48-hour deadline from the White House over COVID relief.
  • This comes after months of stalled negotiations, thanks to Speaker Pelosi.
  • McConnell is prepared to pass his own “skinny” version of the bill.
