Election Day could not have gone any worse for Democrats. Not only did they lose the presidency, they also lost the House and the Senate.

This was a clear referendum of the entire Democratic Party. Indeed, American voters let it be known that they are sick of the left’s woke agenda.

Now, it’s being reported that Rep. Nancy Pelosi is quietly plotting a major shakeup of the Democratic Party behind the scenes. On Wednesday, Pelosi admitted that she is supporting  “some” insurgent efforts by House Democrats to overthrow older committee ranking members.

The representative for California’s 11th congressional district—who stepped down as Leader of the House Democratic Caucus last year after two decades—is targeting the top member of her party on the Judiciary Committee, Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY), the New York Times reported.

Pelosi is among a group of Democrats privately urging 61-year-old Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD) to challenge Nadler, 77, for his post. Raskin is thinking about it, though hasn’t made up his mind and must weigh the fact that he and Nadler are friends, congressional colleagues told the Times.

Nadler isn’t the only ranking Democrat under the microscope. The Times reported Rep. Raúl Grijalva (D-AZ), 76, the top party member on the Natural Resources Committee, and Rep. David Scott (D-GA), 79, the top party member on the Agriculture Committee, are facing challenges from younger house members.

Pelosi Helped Force Biden Out Of The Presidential Race 

Pelosi allegedly “wasn’t happy that the only bloody fingerprints on the knife were hers“ after she played a key role in ousting President Joe Biden, according to Jonathan Alter’s book American Reckoning. She began pressuring Biden to drop out of the race after his abysmal debate performance against Donald Trump back in June.

While on the debate stage, Biden’s apparent cognitive failings were on full display to the world. Indeed, Biden performed so badly that Pelosi lost faith in his ability to win the election. Biden held out as long as he could, but he ultimately dropped out of the presidential race in July.

Within hours, the Democrat establishment had anointed Vice President Kamala Harris as Biden’s replacement. Of course, Harris would go on to be trounced in the election by Trump, losing both the Electoral College and the popular vote to him.

Pelosi responded to Biden’s dropping out by blasting his team.

“I’ve never been that impressed with his political operation,” she said in August. “They won the White House. Bravo. But my concern was: this ain’t happening, and we have to make a decision for this to happen.”

Ouch, that has got to hurt for Joe!

Pelosi and her fellow Democrats really have no choice but to shake things up. The American people have made it abundantly clear that they have lost all faith in the current Democratic Party. If Democrats want to win elections in the future, some serious changes are needed.

The ultimate mistake that Democrats made was allowing their party to go too far left. If Pelosi really wants to shake things up in a positive way, she should focus her efforts on putting Democrats who are more centrist in positions of power.
