The Supreme Court recently ruled that states cannot prohibit citizens from arming themselves for protection. The ruling specifically struck down a law from New York that made it nearly impossible for anyone to get a concealed carry permit.
So, what did New York’s radical leftist leaders do? Pass another law that bans firearms in nearly every corner of the city.
And now, Americans are fighting back.
Gun Owner of America (GOA), Gun Owners Foundation (GOA’s nonprofit), and Ukrainian immigrant Ivan Atonyu have filed suit over the new firearms restrictions passed by New York State after the New York State Pistol Rifle Association v. Bruen Supreme Court Decision…
Notorious anti-gun New York Governor Kathy Hochul called an emergency session of the New York Legislature to pass a slew of anti-gun bills known as the “Concealed Carry Improvement Act” (CCIA) to try to negate the Supreme Court’s decision…
These new laws eliminated almost all locations where a citizen could carry in the state.
Why are Democrats so determined to rob Americans of their Second Amendment rights?
The Supreme Court literally banned states from putting restrictions on gun rights. And immediately, New York democrats pass new laws to prohibit Americans from carrying guns.
It’s also… as if… they want us unarmed and defenseless.
A group of Americans, including Gun Owners of America and the Gun Owners Foundation, are suing the state over these hastily-passed laws.
Democrats have been scrambling to undermine recent rulings by the Supreme Court. In some states, they are trying to overturn abortion bans.
In others, they are conspiring to take away Americans’ Second Amendment rights. The latest laws out of New York will also allow the state to monitor someone’s social media accounts, to decide if they “deserve” a firearm.
Even a meme posted to Facebook could strip you of your constitutionally-protected rights.
Does that seem right?
It’s uncertain how this lawsuit will go. But it is likely that more suits like this will crop up, as blue states try to undermine the Supreme Court.
- New York passed new restrictive gun control laws, despite the recent SCOTUS ruling.
- A group of Second Amendment advocates is suing the state over the new laws.
- The new laws all but ban New Yorkers from acquiring and carrying a firearm.
