We’ve said this would happen, but few listened. New York, along with other deeply blue states, continues to punish its residents with forced lockdowns.
To make matters worse, the mayor of NYC embraced radical Black Lives Matter and defunding their police. That seems to have led to a massive spike in crime.
Once upon a time, the Big Apple was the pride of the country, thanks to Rudy Giuliani. Today, men like de Blasio and Cuomo have turned it into a laughing stock.
Can we really be surprised at this shocking statistic:
More than 300,000 New Yorkers have bailed from the Big Apple in the last eight months, new stats show…
Since the data details only when 11 or more forwarding requests were made to a particular county outside NYC, the number of moves is actually higher. And a single address change could represent an entire household, which means far more than 300,000 New Yorkers fled the five boroughs.
Over 300,000 New Yorkers have left the state since March of this year—just as lockdowns hit the East Coast.
This is a staggering number, even when compared to recent exoduses from states like California (which has seen massive numbers of people fleeing over the years).
For that many people to move out in such a short span of time should not really surprise you. Democrats who run the state and city are doing their best to make New York a terrible place to live.
Ongoing restrictions have put many out of work or out of business. Children can’t even go to school. And even with a vaccine on its way, Cuomo refuses to let residents get it (even though it will be provided for free).
Seems like the local leaders are actively trying to get people to leave.
The sad reality is, the only people that can leave are those wealthy enough to do it. What about the millions who can’t?
Most folks just can’t pack a truck and drive to greener pastures. They continue to suffer as crime rises and opportunities sink.
Maybe it’s time for a massive exodus… of Democrats from New York government? But that kind of thing can only happen when residents wake up and vote them out of power.
- Over 300,000 residents left New York since March of this year.
- That is the same time the state enacted strike lockdowns and saw a spike in crime.
- Democrats continue to embrace policies that are hurting New Yorkers.
