After Pelosi Calls Congress Back To Washington – Nancy “Strategically” Refuses To Vote On Relief Funds

What’s Happening:

Nancy Pelosi refused to make a reasonable deal with Republicans on the relief bill so Americans could get unemployment and stimulus checks.

It seems she and her Democrat allies wanted a massive spending bill that addressed much more COVID fallout.

Congress then went into recess, putting the relief package in jeopardy.

Now, Pelosi is demanding the House return from recess. Why? To address the relief bill?

No, to dump billions into the post office, which Democrats have turned into a political lightning rod in recent days.

Pelosi was asked about finally getting to the relief package. And she just admitted why she won’t do it:

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) is rejecting calls to pass a bill that would extend the enhanced unemployment benefits that expired on July 31…

“I don’t think strategically it’s where we should go right now, because the Republicans would like to pass something like that and say forget about it,” Pelosi said…

When pressed on whether Pelosi believes Democrats can reach an agreement with Republicans on a relief package, she said, “I do, and I don’t think it’s done by giving them an out. I think it’s done by making them come into the negotiations.”

Nancy Pelosi, true to her nature, refused to take responsibility for the failure of the House to pass a new relief bill.

Instead, she blamed Republicans, essentially admitting she wouldn’t aid them.

Pelosi is stalling relief over petty politics. Her “strategic” plan is to prevent Republicans for getting a win for the American people.

She went on to claim that it is Republicans who refuse to come to the negotiation table.

Really? How many times has Trump extended an invitation to Pelosi to negotiate everything from DACA to COVID relief?

How many times has she refused or just stormed out of the room? Too many times to count.

Yet the Speaker now says she won’t help pass a bill that aids suffering Americans because Republicans won’t negotiate.

She gave a long list of the things she claims she wants to do, including “stopping the virus” and helping “food insecure” children.

But she also slipped in, “vote by mail initiatives.”

M-hm. That is what she’s been after all along.

Pelosi might be living in a dream world if she thinks Trump will sign off on mail-in voting. He’s made it very clear that he does not support it.

There are too many concerns about the weakness of sending in your ballot. Numerous stories have proved Trump right. Some states had to re-do elections thanks to lost ballots.

So, it seems Pelosi is preventing aid from reaching Americans hurt by Democrats’ lockdowns, all to force an agenda nobody wants anyway.

Democrats, 2020.

Key Takeaways:

  • Nancy Pelosi refuses to pass a relief bill, accusing Republicans of trying to stall the progress.
  • Pelosi claims Republicans won’t come to the negotiating table.
  • She herself admitted she wants to use the bill to push mail-in voting.
