Supreme Court Rocks Anti-Trump Case – Makes Shocking Move on Donald’s Immunity Claim

Biden’s DOJ is leading several criminal cases against Donald Trump. Trump has maintained his innocence in all of them, accusing Democrats of trying to interfere with the election. Supporters believe this is one of Biden’s attempt at draining Trump’s resources, so he cannot run a campaign.

Legal experts have speculated on these unprecedented cases. Some wonder if a president can be indicted on these charges, let alone convicted.

Trump has stated at least one of these cases is invalid because of his presidential immunity. Lower courts rejected this claim, and some are concerned they did so for partisan reasons. Now, the highest court in the land has made a decision. And it could torch all of the left’s plans.

From The Post Millennial:
The Supreme Court has announced that they will hear oral arguments in Donald Trump’s immunity case on April 25…

In a statement issued after the Supreme Court decided to take up the case, Trump wrote, “Without Presidential Immunity, a President will not be able to properly function, or make decisions, in the best interest of the United States of America. Presidents will always be concerned, and even paralyzed, by the prospect of wrongful prosecution and retaliation after they leave office. This could actually lead to the extortion and blackmail of a President.”

The Supreme Court set a date for hearing arguments over Trump’s immunity claim. Both sides will be required to make their cases on April 25th. Donald Trump has made what appears to be a strong case for presidential immunity.

A lower court refused to grant him immunity, claiming it no longer applies as he is not currently president. But the charges are over actions he took while he was president. So, the court is saying a president can be charged for anything he did while in office after he leaves office.

Trump explained that this would prevent any future president from acting “in the best interest of the United States of America.” Presidents might be paralyzed from decisive actions, fearing that partisan parties could prosecute him after he stepped down.

This issue goes well beyond the current criminal cases. Democrats are trying to establish a precedent that could destroy all future presidencies. All to stop Trump, it seems, from winning the election.

How the court rules is unknown at this time. But if they do rule in favor of Trump, it could destroy at least one of the cases against him.

Key Takeaways:

  • The Supreme Court will hear arguments over Trump’s immunity on April 25th.
  • Democrats have tried to rush the case before the election, to seemingly hurt Trump’s chances.
  • A lower court claimed Trump did not have immunity over actions taken while president.
