It should come as no surprise that Donald Trump dominated in the 2021 CPAC.
Supporters were excited to hear Trump for the first time since leaving office. But not everything he said was good news.
The former president had harsh words for those “Republicans” who quickly turned on him and the party.
And he called out the Supreme Court for failing to do their job. Specifically, regarding election integrity.
From Washington Examiner:
Former President Donald Trump attacked the Supreme Court about their disregard to hear cases about concerns about election rules…
“Regardless of your political views, this should concern you as a constitutional matter, and the Supreme Court did not have the guts and the courage to do anything about it. And neither did other judges,” Trump said.
Donald Trump blasted the Supreme Court for refusing to even hear numerous cases regarding the 2020 Election.
Despite concerning reports of “irregularities” and other problems in various states, the highest court in the land didn’t even hear them.
They dismissed a large case led by Texas and many other states, using the excuse that the state had no “standing” to bring it.
Trump criticized the court, saying they did not have the “guts and the courage” to actually address these issues.
It’s not unheard of for courts to address election cases. Previously, federal courts including the Supreme Court ruled on election issues and other problems. They even have the power to throw out ballots if they feel they violated the law.
The fact that the Supreme Court refused to even acknowledge the questions law-changes and suspicious ballot “dumps” outraged many Americans.
Even Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas rebuked his own court, saying they let down their fellow Americans.
It’s particularly galling, considering Trump appointed three of those justices. Yet they refused to back up serious concerns with the election.
Currently, there is an effort across multiple swing states to change recent election rules. How much do you want to bet Democrats will sue to stop that?
I wonder if the Supreme Court will hear those cases?
- Donald Trump slammed the Supreme Court over the 2020 Election.
- He said they did not have the “guts” or “courage” to confront election problems.
