Swing State Poll Results Just Rocked the Race – Here’s the Surprise Effect of the Trump Conviction

Many believe Democrats have thrown prosecutions at Trump to derail his campaign. That seemed to be the case, based on the reactions of liberals and the media to Trump’s conviction. Democrats were shocked to find that Trump enjoyed a surge of support after being found guilty by a New York jury.

That won’t stop the mainstream media from using this against Trump. They constantly call him a “convicted felon.” Why else do that unless they are trying to discourage voters from supporting him?

But how are voters taking this news? Trump raised over $200 million in the days following the conviction. And many national polls have not changed. Now, a swing state that could have an outsized role in the election just released a report. This is what voters think about Trump, post-conviction.

From The Post Millennial:
A new Michigan general election poll has found that former President Donald Trump holds a narrow lead over President Joe Biden. In a head-to-head matchup, Trump leads with 48.2 percent of the vote compared to Biden’s 47.6 percent, with 4.2 percent of voters undecided.

When third-party candidates are included, Trump’s lead widens slightly. Trump secures 46.3 percent of the vote, while Biden garners 45.1 percent. Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is the most popular third-party candidate, with 3.3 percent of the vote. The poll was conducted on June 3 of 697 likely voters and has a margin of error of 6.9 percent.

According to a Mitchell Research survey of Michigan voters, Trump enjoys a close lead over Joe Biden. He is winning with 48.2% against Biden’s 47.6%. When factoring in third-party voters, Trump’s lead widens more. Michigan could be a key state in this upcoming election.

The blue-collar swing state could help give a candidate an electoral advantage. Plus, it might indicate how voters in other swing states are leaning. Biden’s performance over the last four years has left Americans angry and bitter. Many who voted for the man, thinking he’d do better than Trump, are regretting it.

States like Michigan could swing back to Trump simply because of Biden’s colossal failures. The conviction might not have much of an impact on their votes since the wrecked economy, open border, and looming war are more pressing than a political show trial.

Key Takeaways:

  • A new Michigan poll shows Trump leading by a close margin.
  • The poll came out after the New York conviction, showing it had little effect on voters.
  • Michigan is one of several swing states that will be key in the election.
