Democrat-run cities and states have struggled with the migrant crisis. These “sanctuaries” for illegal immigration were fine with the border problem until migrants started flooding their communities.
Despite this, it seems blue states refuse to call for deportations, nor the securing of the border. Instead, they have demanded federal tax dollars—and begged rich residents to take in aliens.
One swing state is also feeling the brunt of this ongoing crisis. It does not appear as if they working to remove illegals. Instead, they might follow the lead of blue cities and kick students out of their schools—to house more migrants.
From The Post Millennial:
A public alternative high school in New Hanover County, North Carolina, has been the proposed location for a “newcomers school” for refugees…
In speaking out against the plan on Monday at a New Hanover County Commissioners meeting, Commissioner Dane Scalise said the Board of Education should not close the current high school just to open a program that would be “not really a school in the traditional sense.” He said that the facility would be “more akin to a migrant resettlement of assimilation facility.” Others have called it a “refugee school.”
A community in North Carolina is considering shutting down the Career Readiness Academy at Mosley High School to create a “newcomers school” for illegal immigrations that have flooded over the border.
Even the Commissioner, Dane Scalise, criticized the idea. He accused the idea, saying it would not be a real school, but more of a “migrant resettlement” scheme. Democrats in many states have been trying to find places to put migrants. They cannot go back, it seems, on their previous, pro-illegal immigration views.
So, they’ve been forced to come up with new ways of accommodating the millions of migrants who have come over illegally under President Biden. In New York, at least one school kicked out students to house thousands of migrants during a recent cold spell.
Democrats have not opted to support the obvious solution: to remove illegal entrants back to their country of origin. Yet residents in these cities and states are not on board. Protests and even lawsuits have been launched over Democrat mayors’ plans to put migrants in parks, schools, and other locations.
- A North Carolina county is considering closing a high school to house migrants.
- The board commissioner condemned the plan, revealing it to be a migrant resettlement scheme, not a real school.
- This comes as Democrats struggle with the many migrants flooding their sanctuary cities.
