Just as the primary season heated up last year, Democrats launched their lawsuits at Donald Trump. Many believe this was to discourage voters from nominating him for president.
Despite these tactics, Trump dominated the GOP field. He is now the official Republican nominee for president.
It is possible Democrats fear that their many criminal trials will fail to hurt Trump. He might get off scot-free and become president again. So now, it looks as if the left is digging up a long-debunked claim to shut down his election.

A few anti-Trumpers within the GOP and Democrats are trying to resurrect the Trump-Russia collusion hoax. Fiona Hill, someone who once worked in the Trump administration, has claimed Trump “admires” Vladimir Putin.
Eric Swalwell, who recently tried to get Special Counsel Hur to condemn Trump, is doing much the same. He even recently claimed, “Trump is Putin.”
Democrats have tried to use Russia as a boogeyman since 2016. Biden has spent billions to arm Ukraine, claiming Putin is a threat to all countries.
A special counsel spent years and millions of dollars investigating claims that Trump worked with Russia in 2016. A team of mostly Democrats was forced to admit there was no evidence Trump worked with Russia.
There has been little proof of Democrats’ accusations. Yet they continue to spread this claim as a last-ditch attack on the former president.
It is possible the current criminal cases will collapse. With Biden’s approval in the toilet, there is a good chance Trump will beat him. It is not a surprise that some are pulling up Russia again to scare voters. Perhaps it will only increase in the coming months.
