Trump Campaign Makes Shock ‘Torture’ Claim – Investigation Demanded into Donald’s Treatment

Donald Trump may have been served up some serious lemons, but he’s planning on turning it into some sweet lemonade.

The former President has been through an unprecedented judicial system gauntlet over the last two years. From civil to criminal trials, he has endured attacks against his businesses, his presidency, his character, and his person.

Few could have imagined how far anti-Trump Democrats, federal law enforcement, and the judicial system would go to “get Trump.” They wanted him in jail, and they got their wish, at least briefly, when he was booked into a Georgia jail last year.

Trivia Question: In which year did the first televised presidential debate take place in the United States? (Answer at the end of the article)

Trump’s mugshot went viral, and he used it to rake in millions of dollars for his campaign. The former president’s latest fundraising effort has taken his jail experience to a whole new level, and it may fire up his base more than ever.

From The Hill:
Former President Trump’s campaign in a Monday fundraising email criticized his treatment at the Fulton County Jail in Georgia, saying he was “tortured” while getting his historic mug shot at the jail.

Trump has frequently sought to raise funds from the mug shot, and the email that mentioned the torture was sent out to promote coffee mugs featuring Trump’s mug shot.

“I want you to remember what they did to me. They tortured me in the Fulton County Jail, and TOOK MY MUGSHOT. So guess what? I put it on a mug for the WHOLE WORLD TO SEE!” the fundraising email said.

Trump was given lemons in the form of his jail visit, and he has turned that tart moment into a lucrative campaign boost sweeter than any lemonade. While he drinks in the success of his marketing ploy, his detractors are scratching their heads in awe of his business acumen.

Democrats and their mouthpieces in the liberal mainstream media have cried foul over Trump’s ability to turn their attacks against him. Many of them are just now realizing that he sent the same email for the coffee mugs back in May with the same language about the torture.

Whether Trump is stating he was actually tortured or exaggerating for effect about the experience, as he often does in situations where he is attacked, is up for debate. What Democrats now know, and what all Trump supporters love, is that Trump can turn a dime into a dollar at any given moment.

That gifted business sense is what Trump plans to bring back to the White House if he wins in November. The sweetest part about a Trump win might well be the four years of political torture his second term would heap upon the heads of leftists far and wide.

Key Takeaways:

  • Trump campaign fundraising email claims he was “tortured” in a Georgia jail last year.
  • It is the second time Trump has used such language in an email to raise campaign funds.
