Former President Donald Trump wasted no time in getting to East Palestine, Ohio, the site of one of the biggest accidents in recent memory.
The horrific train derailment led to a massive environmental disaster, and certain government officials like U.S. Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg are under heavy fire as well.
Now, while President Joe Biden flies to Ukraine, Trump races to the site of the catastrophe and supports Americans.
The 45th POTUS quickly made a show of his generosity in helping the East Palestine citizens, who are feeling a significant strain right now.
First up, Trump decided to give all the local heroes – the police department and the fire department – free food. This happened at a McDonald’s location, and Trump even bought for everyone in the restaurant.
As he said in remarks from the fire station nearby (from Breitbart):
So is everybody willing to accept free food from Trump?
We’re going to take care of the fire department, we’re going to take care of the police department, plus the people that are in here. They’re going to get a nice, free meal.
While in McDonald’s, Trump commented on Biden’s controversial trip to Kyiv, Ukraine, saying the President “chose to go a different route.” Donald added that Biden “should’ve come here.”
#45 made more waves when he slammed Buttigieg for his apparent failure in this matter, saying “we’re like a third-world nation” with Buttigieg in charge:
Our whole country is breaking down, and [Buttigieg]’s really got to look at the airports because I have people that are taking planes, and they’re delayed.
They’re waiting in an airport for three days. It’s crazy what’s happening.
But Donald didn’t stop with just the food.
In addition to offering plenty of “Make America Great Again” hats along with cleaning supplies, Trump brought thousands of bottles of water, which he dubbed “Trump Water.”

Any bottled water is likely preferable to the residents of East Palestine right now, who aren’t about to trust the tap water just yet.
The quality of the water is just one of the many concerns created by this disaster; the air quality is also in serious question, as the area is dealing with the “controlled release” of hazardous waste material.
Widespread pollution is possible if not probable, and there’s no knowing how long it will linger.
At the same time, neither President Biden nor Buttiegig have visited the area yet, which has resulted in criticism from both sides of the aisle. Even some celebrities have ripped Biden for going to Ukraine instead of Ohio.
As for Trump, his America First motto hasn’t changed — he will continue to put U.S. citizens first in all matters, especially when they’re hurting.
