Trump Promises to Bring Back “Wildly Successful” Ban – And Expand It To 1 Group If Re-Elected

What’s Happening:

Economic distress, dictators, and conflicts across the world have created a flood of illegal immigrants into the United States. Now the war in Israel is fast-tracking refugees fleeing the chaos and world leaders are calling for U.S. citizens to pave the way for them to come here.

Americans want to know what can be done to preserve their country from being overwhelmed by the problems of the world. Some of the people allowed into the country don’t support the American way of life and culture. Now Former President Donald Trump has an answer to any plans to bring in refugees created by someone else’s war.

Trump gave a speech Monday in Iowa, according to The Daily Wire, and pledged to expand his “wildly successful” travel ban for “terror-plagued countries, territories, and places” if re-elected to the White House. This includes “anyone from Gaza, Syria, Somalia, Yemen, or Libya, or anywhere else that threatens our security.”

The GOP frontrunner for the 2024 presidential election didn’t stop with the ban. He vowed that his administration in a second term would “cut off every penny of money we send to the Palestinians and the terrorists on day one” and stand with Israel in its fight to crush Hamas.

Trump plans to revoke student visas of ““revoke the student visas of radical anti-American and antisemitic foreigners at our colleges and universities.” He also said he will send federal law enforcement to “pro-Jihadist demonstrations to enforce our immigration laws and remove the violators from our country.”

Trump past policies while in the White House and his current stance on immigration issues are part of what has him polling among voters with a large lead of the GOP field. His nearest contender, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, has chimed in on the Middle East refugee issue and took a shot at Trump.

DeSantis’ campaign spokesman, Andrew Romeo, stated that it took Trump time to “finally catch up with a position DeSantis took three days ago on Gaza refugees.

Trump’s supporters had quick responses and pointed out that Trump stopped refugee resettlement from Syria and Somalia and stopped jihadist refugee resettlement altogether during his term in office. He also set up a national vetting center to keep threats out of the country.

Key Takeaways:

  • Trump’s “wildly successful plan” is back in play if he wins again.
  • Refugees from “terror-plagued” countries won’t be allowed in.
  • DeSantis team takes a shot at Trump over the situation.
