What’s Happening:
Unlike Joe Biden, President Trump continues to defy the critics and hold his trademark rallies in public. Biden seems content with appearing in fumbled live streams, frequently exposing his inability to even read from a script.
And also unlike Joe Biden, President Trump will be using the strength of his incumbency in his upcoming rally in New Hampshire. Instead of holding it in a closed stadium, he will use Air Force one as a backdrop:
President Trump will spotlight the power of incumbency on Saturday night as he holds a rally in the key general election battleground state of New Hampshire…
“The backdrop of the rally will be Air Force One,” Trump campaign senior adviser Corey Lewandowski said on Thursday. “The president will come in. He’ll come down the stairs.”
The rally is being held outdoors, on the tarmac next to a hangar at Portsmouth International Airport, in the state’s Seacoast region.
UPDATE: The rally has been postponed, not due to any COVID concerns, but because Tropical Storm Fay is rolling up the Eastern coast and could create safety issues for the outdoor rally. It will be rescheduled for the near future (from Fox News).
We are only at the start of the general election season (which won’t kick off officially until the conventions in August), but already Trump is firing up his base with a return to events.
As more attention is placed on the two final candidates (Trump and Biden), the media will be forced to focus on the striking differences between these two men.
President Trump is a sitting president who has battled corrupt forces in Washington, globalists around the world, and an unplanned and unexpected pandemic that nearly shut down the U.S.
In addition, he can appear at rallies before thousands (and watched online by millions) with the iconic and majestic Air Force One behind him.
What does Joe Biden have at his disposal? He continues to refuse to host live rallies, opting for the occasional online video. Outside the mainstream media’s tendency to prop up liberal candidates, there appears little enthusiasm among Democrats for the former vice president.
In fact, if he were to host a large, outdoor rally during the election, he won’t have the advantage of Air Force One behind him.
President Trump is reminding his supporters—and all voters—just who’s been in the driver’s seat these last four years. Critics and the media can slander the president all they want, but Americans know the score.
Trump presided over the best economic recovery in our nation’s history. Even after a devastating pandemic, the economy is roaring back to life, with millions of jobs added in the months of May and June.
Joe Biden, with all his big-money support, will have trouble matching that.
