Trump’s 2 VP Picks Just Came in – These Names Are on Donald’s Short List

For months, Americans have been speculating on who Trump will pick as his running mate. Plenty of names have been tossed around, including some of his former primary rivals. But Trump has been mostly tight-lipped about his decision.

Recently, however, Trump hinted that he’s already decided whom he wanted as a next potential vice president.

The former president spoke with Maria Bartiromo. While discussing his campaign, the topic of a running came back up. And he just mentioned two names—and the rumor mills are exploding.

From Daily Wire:
Trump mentioned Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) and South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem when asked during a Sunday interview with Maria Bartiromo about who he was considering.

“Well, I have a lot of good people. We have a lot of really good people,” Trump said. “I have a lot of good ideas, but I haven’t — and there’s no reason to do that quickly.”

Donald Trump discussed running mates with Maria Bartiromo during an interview. While he’s said very little about who he was looking at, he now mentioned two names. He brought up Sen. Tim Scott and South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem.

He went on to say the party has “a lot of really good people.” And that he isn’t going to make the decision “quickly.” But mentioning these two contenders will no doubt excite many of his supporters.

Both Scott and Noem have been mentioned by pundits. Sen. Scott worked with Trump during his administration, helping shape legislation that improved inner cities. Gov. Noem is a staunch Trump supporter and rising conservative star.

It is likely that supporters will welcome the news that he is looking at these two Republicans. Most knew he would not bring back Mike Pence, who was a primary rival for a short stint in the race. Pence and Trump had a falling out after the 2020 Election and it does not appear that the rift has been mended.

Trump might be looking at a traditional conservative as his running mate, to serve as an anchor as he makes a pitch to moderate and swing voters. But some have speculated he might defy everyone and select someone like Robert F. Kennedy Jr., a moderate who is currently running for president as an independent.

Despite the speculation, we might not have to wait very long before the final news.

Key Takeaways:

  • Donald Trump mentioned two Republicans while discussing possible running mates.
  • Trump spoke fondly of Sen. Tim Scott and Gov. Kristi Noem.
  • The former president has not officially announced his running mate.
