Trump Reveals Brand New VP Names – And Donald’s Fans Don’t Know What to Think

In just a few months, Americans will go to the polls to elect the next president. Before that, the nation’s largest political parties will hold conventions to rally their side. At that point, Donald Trump will be the official nominee.

And he will be on stage with his next running mate. Millions of Americans have been waiting to learn who that person will be.

Trump has discussed several options, including surprise names of former Democrats. Now, a new report is revealing a big update regarding Trump’s decision. And supporters might be surprised to learn this.

From The Post Millennial:
Former President Donald Trump appears to have a shortlist of several options for his potential running mate in the 2024 presidential election, according to a report by Politico. Sources familiar with the matter describe the list as tentative, however, with names written in “pencil, not pen.”

The list reportedly includes a diverse range of candidates, including Senators Katie Britt (R-AL), Marco Rubio (R-FL), Tim Scott (R-SC), and J.D. Vance (R-OH), as well as governors Doug Burgum (R-ND), Kristi Noem (R-SD), and Sarah Huckabee Sanders (R-AR). Additionally, Reps Byron Donalds (R-FL) and Elise Stefanik (R-NY), along with former Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI), are also said to be under consideration.

It appears Trump’s shortlist has grown longer since last we heard about it. According to Politico, he is considering many well-known American politicians. Most of them are long-time Trump supporters, but a few might surprise voters.

Included on the list are Sen. J.D. Vance from Ohio, Sen. Rubio from Florida, and South Dakota Gov. Noem. But some might be surprised to learn Trump is also considering Katie Britt, a Republican senator from Alabama. Britt gave the rebuttal speech after Biden’s SOTU—which many criticized, including some conservatives.

Also on the list is Tulsi Gabbard, a former Democrat and presidential candidate who seems to be entering Trump’s inner circle as of late. Gabbard, not officially a Republican, has been a vocal critic of Joe Biden’s. Trump has met with her with some of his top advisers.

Trump has yet to make a formal announcement about his running mate. According to sources, this list is in “pencil, not pen,” meaning he might change it or add to it when everything is said and done.

He is reportedly vetting possible candidates using an outside firm. We might get an answer from him soon.

Key Takeaways:

  • Trump has revealed the names of his VP shortlist.
  • Some of them include Tulsi Gabbard, J.D. Vance, and Katie Britt
  • Reports suggest the list is in “pencil,” meaning it is not final.
