Ever since Kamala Harris was anointed as Joe Biden’s replacement in the presidential race, Democrats and the mainstream media have been working overtime to sweep her many past failures under the rug. Unfortunately for them, however, Donald Trump’s running mate, J.D. Vance, isn’t about to let them get away with that.

One of the few tasks that Harris was given as vice president was that of being Biden’s “border czar.” She ultimately failed miserably in this role, as the border crisis only dramatically worsened on her watch.

Vance spoke out on Thursday to call Harris out for the record amounts of illegal immigrants who have flooded the southern border during Biden’s time in office. He made these comments while visiting the southern border, something that it took Harris herself far too long to do.

“When they started their administration, Kamala Harris came into office making promises – and she kept those promises – to open the American Southern border,” said Vance, speaking from the southern border. “They stopped deportations on day one, they stopped construction of the border wall on day one. We see the border wall sitting here ready to be completed behind us, and that can’t happen because of Kamala Harris’ administration.”

“They reinstated catch-and-release and they stopped Remain in Mexico, so all of these asylum claimants who come to our border, they can now get released into our country because they’re not forced to stay in Mexico while we adjudicate their asylum claims,” Vance said.

Earlier this week, Harris had the nerve to claim that she’s been tougher on the border than Donald Trump was. Somehow, Harris managed to say this with a straight face.

The reality is that this could not be further from the truth. Biden and Harris’ far-left immigration policies have actually only sent the message to illegal immigrants everywhere that there’s never been a better time to try and cross the border. Their policies send the message that illegal aliens will likely make it across the border with ease. If they somehow do get caught, they’ll face few consequences and oftentimes be released to try again.

Drug Cartels Taking Advantage Of Lax Border Policies

Vance went on to claim that drug cartels have taken advantage of Biden and Harris’ lax border policies to ship lethal drugs into the country. This understandably hits a nerve with Vance. He’s long been open about growing up with a mother who struggled with drug addiction.

“We have to remember that as terrible and idiotic as these policies were, they cause real human beings to suffer,” said Vance. “A lot of you know my story and I have been a little kid waiting at the bedside of his mother, angry that his mom took something that she shouldn’t have taken, but praying to God, please, Jesus, let her wake up.”

“The unfortunate truth is because of the poison that Kamala Harris has let come into this country, there are a lot of those prayers that won’t be answered,” he continued. “There are a lot of kids out there who have been deprived of second chances with their moms and dads. There are a lot of moms and dads out there who will never see their kids walk down the aisle because of what Kamala Harris has unleashed at this border.”

Harris’ border failures show exactly the kind of incompetent politician she really is. While promising to fix an issue, she’s done virtually nothing about it and, in fact, allowed it to get even worse on her watch.

This is undoubtedly exactly what Harris would end up doing as president. She would make a ton of promises in order to get elected, then not deliver on them, instead focusing on her own radical agenda. Meanwhile, America as a whole would get actively worse on her watch.
