Democrats want anyone in the city to have it all. Even if having it all can get you killed or kill someone you love. And, it’s all free.

New York City has a massive fatal drug overdose problem – averaging 2,000 to 3,000 overdose deaths per year – and Democrats there have an “innovative” way to solve the problem.

Just find the nearest big blue vending machine and get hooked up instantly.

“New York City debuted a new vending machine Monday that… is the first of four vending machines that will be installed in some of New York’s most drug-infested neighborhoods, city health department officials said.

“The vending machines will offer ‘Safer Smoking’ kits that include a crack pipe, mouthpiece, and lip balm for smoking crack and crystal meth, according to the New York Post. The machines also offer ‘Safer Sniffing kits’ as well as the emergency overdose drug Naloxone (brand name Narcan) and drug-test strips that detect fentanyl.

“People can also pick up other non-drug related items from the machine like condoms, tampons, nicotine gum and first-aid kits.”

Safe smoking, safe sniffing, and safe sex. Just punch in your zip code and, voilà, help for your next do-it-yourself kit for smoking crack or crystal meth while experiencing love in the Big Apple drops off the rack like a packaged treat.

This is like the creepy guy driving around the neighborhood in a white panel van asking, “Hey, kiddie, want some candy?”

What in the world are these out-of-their-mind liberals thinking?

The last thing that drug addicts need is easier access to drug paraphernalia that can help kill them.

People can argue all they want about condoms and safe sex, but irresponsible drug users taking advantage of any “safe” products is an oxymoron.

What comes out of the mouths of these twisted liberals is stunning. The NYC health czar talked about all the trouble with overdoses and used drug slang to describe the problem.

“We have a rising tide of fentanyl, and now we have other substances entering our drug supply, which is really putting us behind the eight ball,” Health Commissioner Dr. Ashwin Vasan said at the press conference.

An eight ball is a common phrase for cocaine or other drugs. (Slap forehead here.)

This certified public servant shares just how bad the drug problem is in NYC.

From Vasan’s public statements:

“We are in the midst of an overdose crisis in our city, which is taking a fellow New Yorker from us every three hours and is a major cause of falling life expectancy in NYC,” Vasan added in a statement.

Vasan said public health vending machines are “an innovative way to meet people where they are and to put life-saving tools like Naloxone in their hands.”

Never fear, New Yorkers, the super-blue vending machine is here to save the day.

As Vasan says:

“This is an important arrow in our quiver,’’ Vasan said. “It’s not the be-all and end-all solution, but it’s an important tool that says to New Yorkers, ‘Hey, we are going to bring the tools that saves lives to you.’”

“The first vending machine does not include syringes for drugs like heroin, but other machines may include them, Vasan said.”

Reading what this person says is like looking into the future and watching a horrific car crash with no way to stop the loss of life that will happen. Enabling drug users to use more drugs will never end the destruction of communities caused by this epidemic of self-inflicted abuse and death.

NYC officials are encouraging deadly drug abuse among people who need real solutions. A vending machine that can enable more overdoses is not the answer.
