According to various polls, some Americans are becoming increasingly concerned about the state of President Joe Biden’s health. They believe his numerous public gaffes are cause for concern.
On top of that, experts like former White House physician Ronny Jackson have repeatedly called for Biden to be tested. They say it isn’t possible that POTUS is 100% in charge on Capitol Hill.
And maybe he isn’t — a new report suggests that his wife has more control than we might think.
It stands to reason that the First Lady would have some influence over the President. However, the inside reports from Washington hint at something different.
According to The New York Times, Jill Biden not only influences the President’s decisions, but also directly participates in hiring and vetting White House staff. That goes above and beyond a typical FLOTUS.
Additionally, the report claims the First Lady sometimes takes control over lengthy press conferences, which might be running too long for her husband.
Via The Daily Caller:
First lady Jill Biden has reportedly wielded influence over President Joe Biden’s decisions, directly participated in vetting White House officials, and worked to protect her husband from lengthy press conferences.
Jill Biden confronted senior members of the president’s staff after Joe Biden spoke at a conference in January, demanding to know who was supposed to end the conference…
Jill Biden allegedly vetted former White House press secretary Jen Psaki as well, but it doesn’t end there.
The report says the First Lady “has been involved in the hiring of [Joe Biden’s] press staff and other senior aides.”
This news makes it sound as if Jill Biden not only helps her husband with public appearances, but also has a leading hand in determining who gets hired in Washington. That may raise some eyebrows.
There are multiple pieces of video footage showing Jill leading Joe when he appears confused or tired, and many have cited these examples as evidence of Biden’s cognitive decline.
And given her slightly higher approval rating, she has been very active in campaigning for fellow Democrats around the country before midterms.
Over the summer, 54 Republicans demanded the President get a cognitive test (though nothing came of that demand), and now we learn that Jill Biden may play a much larger role than initially believed.
At this point, critics suggest that Joe Biden needs his wife and senior aides to support him — as a result, Jill might be wielding more power in Washington than most would’ve imagined.
