Plenty of Americans want answers over the results of the 2020 Election. You don’t have to be a political expert to worry that problems occurred in the days following the vote.
But thanks to our dishonest MSM, many Republicans feared defying that narrative that Biden “won.” Many Americans criticized leaders who refused to stand beside Trump in his battle for fair and honest election counting.
But it seems many of them are finally waking up and smelling the abuse. Because they are going out on a limb to take action. From The Blaze:
A group of 27 Republican members of the House of Representatives sent a letter to President Trump on Wednesday urging him to direct Attorney General William Barr to launch a special counsel investigation into 2020 election “irregularities.”
… “the American people deserve a definitive resolution to the uncertainty hovering over the outcome of our election,” but protest that “legitimate questions of voter fraud remain unanswered.”
Twenty-seven Republican lawmakers asked Trump and the attorney general to set up a special counsel to investigate the 2020 election.
Better late than never, it seems. A special counsel will have the authority to operate independently, for as long as needed.
Which means, regardless of the outcome of ongoing legal battles, this counsel could come up with answers years from now.
Some might say “too little, too late” over this group of GOP lawmakers’ response. But I think they are finally coming around because it’s finally safe to do so.
Right after Election Day, the media pressed their narrative that Biden won. But since then, evidence has emerged that calls those results into question.
It’s hard to ignore affidavits that say election officials, postal workers, and other staff undermined the ballot counting.
With the major Texas lawsuit looming, these Republicans might have sensed a change in the wind.
The question remains, though, if the DOJ will appoint a special counsel. And what that counsel’s impact on future elections might be.
Do you think Congress should appoint a special counsel to protect investigations into the 2020 election?
