Leftists started crumbling into some stage of emotional and mental delusion the moment former President Donald Trump was elected to the White House. The night of his election victory sent leftists to a dark place from which many have yet to recover.
The idea that Trump could achieve a second term as president is almost too much for the brittle emotions and weak minds of leftists. They believe if he achieves the power associated with the presidency that the world will suddenly be devoid of democracy.
Trump-hating Whoopi Goldberg fell into a rage of hysterics this week when she claimed that Trump’s claim of immunity during the Jan. 6, 2021, melee could be the last straw. She exploded in her hatred of Trump and claimed Joe Biden could use the situation to attack all Trump supporters.

“Let’s look at a scenario where the Supreme Court says yes, he has all those rights,” Goldberg said. “He is immune from everything. You know what Joe Biden could do since he is presently president? He could … throw every Republican in jail. I mean, he could. What this means is he could do anything. He could dismiss everybody’s debt. You know, there’s a whole bunch of great stuff that could happen. But let’s really look at what this means.”
The Supreme Court decided to take up the presidential immunity case against Trump after his appeal failed before the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals. The lower court determined he was not immune from prosecution in his election interference case brought forth by special counsel Jack Smith.
The court will hear oral arguments on the matter beginning April 22. A decision from the high court could come soon after or later in the summer at the end of June. A trial date against Trump would then likely be set sometime during the fervor of the 2024 presidential election this fall.
Goldberg wasn’t alone in her tirade on “The View” where she is a co-host. Her often out of control co-host Joy Behar took shots at the Supreme Court for taking up Trump’s immunity defense in the election interference case where he is defending himself against lifetimes in prison.
“They’re not taking up this case immediately,” Behar said. “So what’s their motivation then if we all know that they can’t do what (Goldberg) just said because of the extreme power that the president would have. What is their motivation for not doing it right away?”
Co-host Sunny Hostin argued that conservative justices on the court might “want to help” Trump since he cannot be indicted under Department of Justice policy if he is re-elected. “It’s his get-out-of-jail-free card,” Hostin said.
The trial against Trump was scheduled for March 4, but District Judge Tanya Chutkan vacated the date pending the high court’s ruling. Trump faces four charges related to his alleged attempt to overturn the 2020 presidential election during the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riot.
Trump has called the case against him “prosecutorial misconduct” and accused Smith of attempting to interfere in the 2024 presidential election.
