Another week, another scandal stirred up by the left-wing media.
Last week, the left was claiming Trump insulted fallen soldiers.
Today, they are up in arms over comments from a new book by Bob Woodward.
It seems they are mad that Trump was trying to keep Americans calm by not hyping up the virus back in February.
Democrats claim this proves Trump did not think the pandemic was a serious problem—despite the fact he was acting as early as January.
Now, Trump is asking a very important question about Woodward’s book:
Bob Woodward had my quotes for many months. If he thought they were so bad or dangerous, why didn’t he immediately report them in an effort to save lives? Didn’t he have an obligation to do so? No, because he knew they were good and proper answers. Calm, no panic!
Trump asked if his comments were so bad, why did Woodward wait until now to reveal them?
Why didn’t Woodward report them way back in February and “save lives”?
The president says is because Woodward knows they were “good and proper answers.”
Democrats are claiming Trump was ignoring the dangers of COVID back in February, based on Woodward’s quotes.
But let’s take a trip back then, shall we?
In early January, Trump formed a task force to investigate and prepare for the virus. At the end of January, he closed the border to China to prevent spread.
Even during his SOTU address, he vowed to fight the virus as it spread around the world.
Does it sound like Trump was ignoring the danger the virus posed? Doesn’t seem so.
Meanwhile, what were Democrats doing? Oh, that’s right, many were ignoring the threat outright, calling Trump’s moves “xenophobic.”
Nancy Pelosi was in San Francisco’s Chinatown as late as February, urging people to get out not worry.
But now, after all these months, we’re supposed to believe it was Trump who was negligent?
It seems Woodward either didn’t care about the health of Americans back then—or is deliberately misrepresenting Trump’s words.
Which do you think it is?
- Bob Woodward released quotes from Trump the Democrats claim prove he didn’t care about the virus.
- Trump asked why didn’t Woodward release the statements earlier if they were so troubling?
- From as early as January, Trump was battling the virus, as Democrats ignored it.
