Democrat Stronghold in Pennsylvania Sees Republicans Strongly Closing the Gap

Ever since Kamala Harris became the Democratic presidential nominee, Democrats and the media alike have been worshipping her like it’s their job. They are so behind her that they’ve started pushing the narrative that she has this race in the bag.

Indeed, the left seems to think that there is no way that Harris could lose to Donald Trump. Unfortunately for them, however, something just happened in a Democrat stronghold in the key swing state of Pennsylvania that indicates that this race is far closer than the left would like to believe.

Luzerne County is a blue-collar Democrat stronghold that has had more Democrat registrations compared to Republican registrations for the past 52 years. Thanks to the efforts of conservatives, that has now changed in a big way.

From The Blaze:
After a concerted effort by Republicans to contact voters and persuade them to register, local officials said 87,415 people in Luzerne County had registered as Republicans while 87,332 had registered as Democrats. Republicans have topped Democrats by only 83 voter registrations.

While the gap between Republicans and Democrats is very narrow, the GOP was able to erase the massive advantage Democrats had garnered by 2011 of 47,669 registrations.

“I’m excited and relieved that our message has been received by the good people of Luzerne County,” said Luzerne County Republican Party Chairman Gene Ziemba.

Boom!

First Time This Has Happened In 52 Years

Luzerne County hadn’t had more Republican registrations than Democrat registrations since 1972 when Richard Nixon trounced George McGovern in a landslide victory. These numbers had flipped by 1976 in the wake of Nixon resigning after the Watergate scandal exploded. By then, Luzerne had 101,000 Democratic registrations compared to just 64,000 Republican registrations.

Democrats have until October 21 to make up the current difference. The general election is scheduled to take place on November 5. Only time will tell if Democrats can close the gap in Luzerne by then.

What is happening in Luzerne has major implications for what is occurring all over America. It seems that one of two things is at play here. Either this race is far closer than Democrats and the media would have you believe, or a dam could be breaking that is flooding Trump with support. Perhaps after months of Harris being vague about her specific policies, voters have finally had enough and are ready to support Trump with everything they have.

Polls have never been accurate when it comes to showcasing the support in Trump’s corner. Indeed, Trump supporters are so aggressively shamed in this country that many only support him behind the scenes. These people choose to only let their pro-Trump sentiments be heard in the privacy of the voting booth. That’s why if a dam really is breaking when it comes to Trump support, we might not know it until Election Day.

Pennsylvania is one of the most crucial swing states that will decide this election. That’s why what’s happening in Luzerne should be seen as a nightmare by Harris and those who support her. Here’s hoping that this is only the beginning of a red wave that will result in a Trump victory in November!

Key Takeaways:

  • A Democrat stronghold in Pennsylvania has more Republican registrations than Democrat ones.
  • The first time this has happened in 52 years.
  • Could this be the beginning of a red wave?
